This project was designed for a tight turnaround, so I chose to animate key scenes and used sound effects selectively to heighten emotional impact. It explores the psychological effects of conflict on veterans, using Simon Armitages poem Remains as the narrative.

This animation combines illustrative visuals, sound effects, and voiceover to capture the haunting recollections of an ex-soldier. The final scens direct attention to a relevant charity, aiming to use visual storytelling to raise awareness and empathy.

Key creative choices inlcude a monochrome palette as a reflection of the dark, emotional weight of the poem, and the use of layered textures and pacing to mirror the speaker's fractured memory and psychological unease.
